Ms. Jessen is an experienced improvisor active in a range of musical contexts, a frequent collaborator with such noted Dutch-scene musicians as Wilbert de Joode and Michael Vatcher, in addition to playing with such international musicianas as Frank Gratkowski and Joe Morris. She is also co-founder of EAR (ElectroAcousticReed) Duo with saxophonist Michael Straus.
She received her Masters in music from New England Conservatory and her Bachelors from Louisiana State University

The Open Ears Music Series consists of weekly concerts of interesting music, often of the improvised variety. The performances are on Tuesdays , upstairs at The Blue Nile , 532 Frenchmen St. New Orleans, LA

All shows are scheduled to start at 10 PM, and will likely be finished by midnight or shortly thereafter, so don’t be too late.
There is no cover charge. We want everyone that wants to listen to be able to. There is an encouraged donation. Whatever you can contribute is appreciated. All money donated will go to the artists, so please be generous.
