It is hard to believe that the Open Ears Music Series is two years old.  Our
first show was the first week of November 2007.  Our one year anniversary
was election night last year.  While this year's anniversary might not be
quite as historic as last year's, it will feature the first performance of
the Laptop Orchestra of Louisiana (state) or LOLs, along with some other
fun.

Set 2 - Laptop Orchestra of Louisiana (state)

   The LOLs is an ensemble of performers, composers and programmers from
LSU.  It is led by Dr. Stephen David Beck, and consists of Nick Hwang, J.
Corey Knoll, Lindsey Jacob, Lindsey Hartman, Susannah Montandon, Jeff
Albert, and Alan Clark.  The group deals with a variety of computer
interface concepts, and acoustic performance integrated with electronics.
 This is the LOLs premier performance.

The Open Ears Music Series consists of weekly concerts of interesting music,
often of the improvised variety. The performances are on Tuesdays, upstairs
at The Blue Nile, 532 Frenchmen St. NOLA

All shows are scheduled to start at 10 PM, and will likely be finished by
midnight or shortly thereafter, so don't be too late. There is no cover
charge. We want everyone that wants to listen to be able to. There is an
encouraged donation. Whatever you can contribute is appreciated. All money
donated will go to the artists, so please be generous.
