Existing in the moment, in the present; creating stillness in a world full
of motion through music; communication which exists through compassion,
sympathy, and open heartedness; moving in directions which continuously
expand the heart, mind, and soul; these are attributes which have been
developed over the past 10 years between friends & musical brothers Mike
Mito and Jeff Zielinski.

Through the past decade Mito & Zielinski have been musically exploring and
creating a musical language which is unique, fluid, fresh, and consistently
exhilarating.  Deeping their understanding of their essence and putting
forth music which is reflective of their environments and the people which
are present within them are the goals of this duo’s musical partnership.

For many years Mito & Zielinski formed and participated within various bands
in the vibrant musical climate of New Orleans, accentuating these projects
with an energy and vigor for their love of music. They now seek to exemplify
their musical vernacular with you, an adventurous art, and bring you on a
journey which is totally reliant upon their intuition, where anything is
possible and the channels for creativity remain constantly open.

The Open Ears Music Series consists of weekly concerts of interesting music,
often of the improvised variety. The performances are on Tuesdays, upstairs
at The Blue Nile, 532 Frenchmen St. NOLA

All shows are scheduled to start at 10 PM, and will likely be finished by
midnight or shortly thereafter, so don't be too late. There is no cover
charge. We want everyone that wants to listen to be able to. There is an
encouraged donation. Whatever you can contribute is appreciated. All money
donated will go to the artists, so please be generous.
